What changes.
Generated imagery can be useful for exploring an idea or preparing a clearly labelled concept. The image still needs to fit the business, the audience, and the purpose of the communication.
Start with the assets that must stay accurate: the real logo, product details, approved colours, and any genuine client material. Treat them as requirements rather than something the generator is free to reinterpret.
Review the final image at the size people will actually see it. Check text, proportions, recognisable details, and what the scene appears to claim. Keep a record of which assets were supplied and which parts were generated.
A generated concept should never masquerade as client evidence.
A practical example.
A fictional studio explores visual directions for a campaign using generated backgrounds. The approved wordmark is placed as its original asset, and the concept is labelled before review. A real project photograph is used for the case study.
